What is TechCrunch?

TechCrunch is a blog about Web 2.0 products & companies, many of the posts written by Michael Arrington. The blog’s first post was on June 11, 2005.  The website’s Technorati rank is 2,and is their 3rd most favorited blog. As of July 17, 2008, it has over 1,320,000 web feed subscribers as measured by tracking company FeedBurner. On August 27, 2008, TechCrunch rolled out a new web site design. (read more at Wikipedia)

TechCrunch has a feature called CrunchBase that is a huge database of popular internet companies, people, investors, and more.  You can learn the details of a company such as the people that work at it, when it was founded, and where all of their office buildings are located.

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service, that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. The sender can restrict delivery to those in his or her circle of friends. What you may not know about Twitter

Twitter has a search tool that allows you to search what other users at ‘tweeting’ about. This tool is a great way to find help on a subject, popular trends, or maybe a deal on a product you’re looking for, or a link about a subject. What is Digg?

Digg is a website made for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet, by submitting links and stories, and voting and commenting on submitted links and stories. Voting stories up and down is the site’s cornerstone function, respectively called digging and burying. Many stories get submitted every day, but only the most Dugg stories appear on the front page. What you may not know you can do with Digg

Did you know that you can use Digg to get the latest content about a particular subject?  Digg has custom RSS feeds based on search.  This means if you want to know anytime something is added to Digg about Nintendo Wii you can build a custom RSS feed based on the search “Nintendo Wii”.  With the custom RSS feed you can add it to your favorite news aggregator.
