What is Lala?

Lala.com is an online music store and compact disc trading website created by Silicon Valley entrepreneur Bill Nguyen. The service allows trade-enabled members to legally create online shareable “playlists” (formerly known as “radio stations”) of their own uploaded music which can play full length songs for other registered Lala members, purchase MP3s, stream music on a one-time basis or as inexpensively purchased “web songs.”  New members can upload their own music, create playlists, purchase MP3s and web songs, buy new CDs at the Lala store, leave blurbs, and can change their personal account settings to activate trading privileges and also be able to trade CDs and use the community forums. What you may not know about Lala

Lala is great for listening to music from where ever you are, but did you know that you can have Lala create a playlist for you baed on your favorite artists?  Using their “Mix it up” feature you can easily search for an artist, then on the right click [Mix it up].  This will take your current artist and similar artists and create a playlist for you.  It can’t get much easier than that!

What is AmieStreet?

AmieStreet is a website to discover new music.  If you’re one for being ahead of the curve on discovering new music, you get rewarded.  For less popular songs, downloads are really cheap or even free!  So discover new music quickly and don’t pay for them to legitimately download the MP3’s.  As songs become more popular the price of the song goes up.  Regardless its very easy that you’ll be able to purchase songs less than those of iTunes.

What is Youtube?

YouTube is a video sharing website where users can upload, view and share video clips. Three former PayPal employees created YouTube in February 2005. In November 2006, YouTube, LLC was bought by Google Inc. for US$1.65 billion, and is now operated as a subsidiary of Google. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos. Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, although media corporations including CBS and the BBC and other organizations offer some of their material via the site. What you may not know you can do with Youtube

If you may not know already, Youtube users are currently limited to 10 minute video uploads, but using a few Youtube techniques you can add videos longer than 10 minutes.  In short, crop you video into 10 minute segments, upload them, create a Youtube playlist of your videos, then create a custom video player which plays your playlist, embed the video to your website or blog, voila, you have a Youtube video player that plays a video larger than 10 minutes.
