What is SmashingApps?

What you may not know about SmashingApps

On the right sidebar of the page is this thing called the Smashing Apps community which allows the community of users to share their resources, tools, and such for web developers. So now you can go beyond just reading what the SmashingApps writers share, but also what the thousands of SmashingApps readers have as well!

What is DevSnippets?

DevSnippets is a great collection of quality snippets of code for web development.  There is a large collection of categories relating to AJAX, jQuery, MooTools, CSS, Javscript and more.  Learn how to add auto-complete functionality like Facebook.  Or create a flashier, web 2.0 looking menu.  DevSnippets has 100’s of great scripts, hacks, and tutorials for any web developer, from the newbie to the expert.

What you may not know about DevSnippets

DevSnippets code collection is submitted by the community of DevSnippet users themselves.  DevSnippets actually works more like a great mini search engine for web developers.  DevSnippets doesn’t actually host the scripts and tutorials themselves, they just index them and provide you with a link to the actual script or tutorial.  Since the community is submitting the snippets, the repository continues to grow and the content is updated frequently.

Inside of their archives has a list of all of their articles and one of the first thing that stands out to me is how nearly every article written is a list of something. I think its obvious to say that content on the site is much more than what you see in the archives, yet lists of things such as 50 Wordpress Themes, 30 Photoshop tutorials and much more.
